Buck & Breck – Buck and Breck is a cool little speakeasy bar in Mitte. Ring the bell, hide the phone and head on in.

Newton Bar – Named after Helmut Newton, this massive bar with red leather clad sofas and armchairs and deep oak tables and a wall dedicated to the aforementioned men, with a series of his black & wide nudes. Private cigar lounge upstairs too.Known for its martinis or a good single malt whisky .
Reingold– Elegant lounge-bar with pictures on the walls, high stools, leather sofas & a candlelit terrace. An old speakeasy.
Windhorst– Owner Günter Windhorst got his experience at the famous Würgeengel . A small, classic Berlin cocktail bar near the US Embassy, attracting a crowd of chilled locals, always up for a chat. Great jazz and latin collection, super nice atmosphere.
Stagger Lee–Excellent, unusual cocktails like bourbon, mint and cherries or a glass of tequila and a Lucky Strike. They also have 40s bluegrass nights and 60s psych nights and the occasional game of blackjack.
Mein Haus am See – Cool café by day, bar and dance-spot by night, Mein Haus am See has all 24 hours in the day covered. There’s cozy pillows and furniture, a full menu of fairly priced food and drinks, AND free WiFi so if you feel like camping out for a day or two, no one will judge.
Tausend/ Backroom Cantina–With an unmarked entrance you have to look for an iron door under the train overpass, the dress code isn’t as informal as the rest of Berlin, so prepare to look a little less Bohemian. Amazing steel ceiling with eye-like 3D light installations. The Wasabi cocktail is great, as is the malt with pine honey water.
Weinerei -Is a fantastic little vino bar on the cusp of Prenzlauer Berg/ Mitte. You pay 3 Eur for a glass and help yourself to wine, when you leave you then donate what you like. They offer a three course meal as well, which is also pay as you like.
Bar Saint Jean – Chic, trendy , beautiful interiors Bar Saint Jean is one of the coolest bars in Mitte.
Sodom & Gomorra – Chic cocktail bar in Mitte with good Cocktails, legit DJ music and a space to dance. Ritzier decor, so not the usual streetwear vibe bar, more the upmarket post 30’s crowd.
Liberate Bar Berlin –Liberate Bar Berlin isn’t really like anywhere else in the city. Flash decor with tonnes of gold and palm tree’d wallpaper. The kind of place Kanye would chill in Berlin. Beware expensive. Probably not your next local, but worth a night out esp to go sheen in the fancy cubicles.
Neue Odessa Bar – is one of those modelly hangouts, it plays largely hip hop and serves some pretty wacky cocktails.
Hackbarth’s – Hackbarth’s is a local dive bar and cafe that the locals love. Coffee, breakfast, tapas, and drinks.
Cordobar– Award-winning wine bar in the heart of Mitte. Stocking almost 1000 different wines you are sure to find the perfect match to go with the range of innovative dishes on offer. Known to be the hangout of many of Berlin’s finer dining chefs and sommeliers – they must be doing something right!
Altes Europa –Altes Europa is a fantastic Mitte bar good for a mid-afternoon drink or a boogie with pals later on. Altes Europa serves decent Ukrainian vodka and Krusovice dark and light. The kitchen serves traditional German and European fare.
